Members:
This is a summary report of the
SimSummit working meeting held in
association with the SISO SIW in
INTENTION - The
objective of the subject working meeting was to make progress in establishing a
canonical topical agenda, accepted by consensus of the SimSummit participating
organizations that can serve as a basis of collaboration across the M&S
community of practice. The candidate topic list crossed with the SimSummit member organizations is included
as a reminder. By means of the SIW meeting and another one planned for
PROCEEDINGS – A total
of 14 member organizations out of the full complement of 37 (see list of active
member organizations enclosed), and 6 observer organizations attended the
meeting and participated in discussion (see attendance list enclosed).
Meeting activity included the following:
OBSERVATIONS –
Attendance was reasonable under the circumstances, and member organization
participation was positive and constructive toward establishing a reference
agenda for broad-based collaboration across the M&S community-of-practice.
Participants volunteered interest based on their own mission interests, and
indicated in some cases what sorts of prospective collaboration was desired and
might reasonably be expected. Attendees agreed to respond to an ACTION
tasking written response to solicitation-of-interest and / or augmentation of
the topical agenda (see separate correspondence for tasking message, practically
a reprise of an earlier ACTION posted 8 March 2005 and executed by very few
SimSummit organizations).
Participants endorsed another SimSummit working meeting of convenience
in
All SimSummit organizations are earnestly
requested to respond to the ACTION-ITEM tasking to follow, to attend the HSC /
AMSC meetings and participate in the associated working meeting, and to plan
ahead to participate in a formal SimSummit meeting at
I/ITSEC.
