•  Even a casual survey reveals a very comprehensive and influential set of industrial development activities and initiatives being pursued with considerable energy and ingenuity.

•Several of these collateral activities are indicated by the posters and display material arrayed around the room – copies of which posters are provided in your reference material.  Cursory review shows that: 1) they apply comprehensively across M&S technology, applications, and business practices; 2) they involve a variety of organizational participants and venues; and  3) they are all motivated by the perception of need and opportunity to invest in the M&S technology, profession, industry, and marketplace.
