•SimSummit has been coordinated through
the efforts of three professional societies, whose Senior Executives
constitute the SimSummit Executive Committee.
These Executives will comment briefly on their Organization’s interests
in SimSummit and on their expectations for SimSummit’s influencing the future
of modeling and simulation.
•To speak on behalf of the Society for
Modeling and Simulation International [SCS], I’d like to introduce the
Society’s Former President, Dr. Roy Crosbie.
•The Simulation Interoperability and
Standards Organization (SISO) is represented by the Chairman of it’s Executive
Committee, Warren Katz. Trained as an
Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, Warren has experience with Bolt, Beranek,
and Newman on the SIMDET Program, and co-founded Mak Technologies. An author, inventor and businessman, Warren
has served with considerable patience and effectiveness as Chairman of the
SISO Executive committee.
•Finally, we have RADM Retired, Fred
Lewis, Director of the National Training Systems Association. Fred is a proud Graduate of the US
Naval Academy. A naval aviator, test
and combat pilot, Fred advanced to Commander, Carrier Group FOUR and
Commander, Carrier Striking Forces Atlantic.
He has accumulated over 1,200 carrier landings and he’s still
tall.
